Childrens Day 2021 – Participant Guidelines

Pechu Potti / Thamizh Theni (Sol Vilaiyaattu) Potti:

These are competition events. The competitions will be held in person on Saturday 6th November from 10 AM to 1 PM. Please note that it is a week before the Children’s day program. Detailed guidelines with the debate topic sentence will be provided along with the event confirmation email after the registration cut-off date.

Thirukural Kadhaikal:

This is a competition event. The competition will be held in person on Saturday 6th November from 10 AM to 1 PM. Please note that it is a week before the Children’s day program. You will be given a syllabus of 5 Thirukural Athigarams. Judges will have you pick 1 Athigaram from the given 5 and have to explain the Kural with a story and recite a kural from that Athigaram. Detailed guidelines will be provided along with the event confirmation email after the registration cut-off date.

Oviyum/Katturai/Kavithai (Drawing / Essay writing /Poem):

All of these 3 categories are online submissions of your work. These are NOT competition events. Detailed guidelines will be provided along with the event confirmation email after the registration cut-off date.

Group dance / Fancy dress:

You are expected to submit a video for this category. These are NOT competition events. Detailed guidelines will be provided along with the event confirmation email after the registration cut-off date.

DIY Videos – Tips/Tricks cooking:

You are expected to submit a DIY (Do It Yourself) video showing your child’s talent, sharing tips or tricks in cooking, baking, crafts, gardening, and technology. This is NOT a competition event. Detailed guidelines will be provided along with the event confirmation email after the registration cut-off date.
